OTHER SERVICES

There will be various services provided during and by the convention.   These will include but are not limited to an  Information Booth,   Lost and Found,  Newszine,  Con Suite,  Special Needs,  Fan Lounge,  Parties  and  Fan Tables.

The Information Booth will be staffed by friendly personages who will provide information regarding the convention and local resources.   It will be located on the main floor of the convention directly opposite of Registration.

Lost and Found will be in the Convention Operations room.   The hours of operation will be Friday and Saturday from 8 AM to 10 PM and Sunday until the end of the convention.

There will be a daily newszine, "RKology", at LOSCON 34 providing information and updates about the convention.   Newszine Submissions should be turned in at the Information Booth, ConSuite or should be e-mailed now to our newszine editor, Martin Young at newszine34@loscon.org.

LosCon Base Camp (Con Suite) will be on the 18th Floor again, easily accessible from the convention floor via one of the six elevators and with restrooms close by.   You can drop off your donations for The LosCon 34 Toy Drive here.   As you go through your day digging up panels and workshops, sifting your wallet in the dealer's room, and discovering the treasures of art show - take a break and stop by "Base Camp" to refuel and recharge so you may have the energy to continue your quest.   We have crate loads of rations to satisfy your cravings, to quench your thirst, and stimulate your creative spirit.   It will be open during the hours in the table below with the night hours being a sponsered party by Anime LA.

Special Needs Services will have a table on the main convention floor with information and assistance for anyone who has special needs.   If you need to setup access beforehand, please feel free to e-mail  access34@loscon.org.   If you have mobility needs, the following company is one of a variety that can provide mobies.   Loscon does not endorse this company, but has heard strong positive feedback from the committee for L.A.con IV and several of the people who used their services.   Scooters:  http://www.scootaround.com/rentals.htm  or 888-441-7575 toll free.   $275 (maybe tax as well) each for a rental from 22 to 28 November, 2007.  Delivery and pick-up are included in this price.   Contact us also if you have specific allergies or need to arrange with the hotel to deal with these allergies or other medical issues.

The Fanzine Lounge will have fanzines for perusal at your leisure while you relax between panels.   Currently the Fan Lounge will be situated in the Long Beach room on the First Floor.

Variously placed in the large lobby area on the main convention floor will be Fan Tables.   At these tables will be representatives from fan groups, other conventions, groups lobbying for hosting larger conventions like worldcon, and the like.   These people are always willing talk and have a world of interesting information to provide.   You may purchase a membership to next year's Loscon at quite a reduced rate at the Loscon 35 table (and this year for the first time credit cards will be accepted).   Some of these groups will be hosting parties at night after closing down their tables for the day.   If you wish to reserve a table for your group, please e-mail  fantables34@loscon.org.   Fan tables are limited in number and will be going fast so get in your reservation today.   Remember, sales at fan tables are limited to memberships and group related merchandise only.   Below is the current list of groups who have reserved tables:
