It's only 5 minutes West of the 405 FWY and 8 minutes North of the 105 FWY. Fans will find plenty of parking at the Marriott. For those fans travelling by air, there's a 24 hour complimentary Marriott shuttle from LAX.

The convention space is all on one floor just below the lobby, and you can easily access your sleeping room directly from the convention floor by one of 6 swift elevators. The LAX Marriott boasts 2 restaurants: JW's, serving steaks & seafood, Latitude 33, themed as "tastes of the Pacific Rim", and Champions American Sports Bar with a very reasonably priced menu. There's also a Starbucks which will be open for us all weekend, and many restaurants, shops and eateries are just a short walk away and fit just about anyone’s budget.

The sleeping rooms in this hotel are very generously apportioned, the LAX Marriott having been built over 40 years ago when hotels were still built with a customer's comfort in mind. The pool is gigantic. There's a large, well equipped gym and a small laundromat in case that rare fannish stain on clothing needs to be removed in a hurry.

We have a great deal from the Marriott with rooms for $94 for single/double/triple/quad occupancy. There is not a suite rate available, as there are no suites available to general
