PANEL SCHEDULECHILDREN'S PROGRAMING
EVENING PROGRAMMINGAUTOGRAPHS

The convention committee of Loscon 32 is busy planning a number of events, both traditional and new, to entertain you during the course of the convention weekend.   The theme of the convention is  "A Space Operetta".   This theme will be further outlined as the committee's plans are solidified.

During the daylight hours there will be a busy schedule of  Panel Programming,  with even more possibilities than in years past due to the fact that this new hotel offers more variety in programming room space.   Several rooms are being slated like last year for the programming of demonstrations and round table events which may have limited audiences.   An intriguing track of fan produced movies is scheduled  (See Here).   A complete track of  Children's Programming  is being planned.   In addition, several panels and evening events are being specifically geared to our young adult population.   A room has been set aside as a teen only Teen Lounge complete with a Playstation area.   Meanwhile for the adults, a workshop on meditation led by Virginia Hey is being offered.   Another special programming tract will include panels to discuss four different "Classics of Science Fiction".   These classics are:  Some Will Not Die by Algis Budrys, Fail-Safe by Eugene Burdick and Harvey Wheeler, Between Planets by Robert A. Heinlein, and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.   People who are interested might want to read these books before the convention starts.   See a list of the  autograph sessions that have been scheduled.   Bring your books to be signed (we ask that you be considerate of the authors and not bring your entire collection).

During the evening at Loscon 32 several events are being planned to entertain you with their themes revolving about  "A Space Operetta".   Lux Theatre will be back with yet another production to entertain as they present    "Shindig"   following the Ice Cream Social and before the evening dance on Friday night.   On Saturday evening will be the traditional  Masquerade  followed by a rock dance.   We encourage any of you to consider presenting your latest costume or craziest performance upon our Masquerade stage.   Visit our  Masquerade Page  for more about this event and sign up information.

Other standard Loscon events will be with us again, including the  Anime Room,  Gaming Room,  and the  Filking Room.   A section of the Dealer's Room is being slated for an on-going series of  Autograph Sessions, courtesy of our visiting authors.   Our  Charity Events,  the Toy Drive and the Blood Drive, will also be continuing so plan now on contributing at the convention.
