LOSCON 30 GUEST BIO

Shawn Crosby

I have been in the past a retail clerk, bartender, video arcade manager, bookseller, motorcycle courier, computer technical support representative, museum docent/caretaker, and telemarketing researcher.   More notably I've been a prop builder for Star Trek, a toy designer for Mattel, Playmates, and various Happy Meal toy lines, a model maker of museum-quality display and architectural models for the Disney theme parks, and a graphic artist/computer game designer.   My resume looks like I want to experience everything at once, but it may just be a really short attention span.

I have been a sucker for applause since the age of 8, and have been involved in more than 50 productions in venues varying from 35 to 3500 seats.   Possessing a knack for voiceover characterizations and mimicry, I have performed over 150 character voices such as Mickey Mouse, Sean Connery, William Shatner and Kermit the Frog for radio, toys, and multimedia software titles.   I am also an alumnus of the Enigma Players, a L.A.-based guerrilla improvisational comedy group, and have gone on to produce and direct live multimedia variety shows.

And someday - someday - I'll get off my fanny and find a good agent.
