Matt Paulus (Sage Blackthorn) owner of "Matthew's Stuff".   Matt has been knitting chainmaille for over 12 years.   His humble beginnings are from playing too much D&D and reading way too much sci-fi & fantasy books and later watching friends making their own chainmaille armor and jewelry.   Always fascinated by metal working as a teenager, which led to winding his own rings for a basic 14 gauge hauberk, or long maille shirt, to making complicated fantasy wear for his girlfriend.   His intense study of many intricate patterns can be seen in his work.   Period armor, jewelry, novelty items such as juggling balls & fantasy wear amongst many other items are featured at DragonMarsh or on himself at Renaissance Faires and in the dealers room or in the halls of Sci-fi/Fantasy Conventions.   As well as being a "mailer", Matt has dabbled in all sorts of crafts and skills from blacksmithing and cartooning in high school to primitive technology and woods lore in recent years.   Never satisfied, he's always looking forward to learning something new.
