Aleta is one of XCOR Aerospace’s founders.   She is a technician, the company’s chief welder, technician, tech writer and an engineering drawing/parts inspector.   Aleta has over 30 years experience in research and development within the aerospace community, starting with McDonnell Douglas on the Gemini and Manned Orbiting Laboratory programs.   She spent several years with Electron Emissions Systems as a microcircuit research technician and ten years Xerox Corporation as a field technician.   She has over ten years experience as a professional editor and writer, and has been published in the Washington Post, ANALOG, and other magazines.   She attended Indiana Institute of Technology, majoring in mechanical engineering.
