CHARITY EVENTS at LOSCON 30
The traditional Loscon charity events, the Blood Drive on Friday and the Toy Drive all weekend, will be returning again this year. Please bring to donate at the convention an unwrapped toy to help make sure that no child goes without a gift this holiday season. At Loscon 30 there will also be a Charity Auction hosted by David Gerrold, so be prepared to contribute in some way this year to a worthy cause. Loscon 30 continues it's thirteen-year tradition of blood drives with a Fantastic Voyage through the veins of science fiction fans. Sign-ups will start at 11:00 A.M. at CMDF (Combined Multitudes of Donor Fans) Headquarters (Academy 6). After our mission through your veins, you will be treated to juice, homemade miniaturized muffins, cookies and other small tokens of our appreciation. We will also have a raffle for all CMDF members. Prizes will include a $10.00 and $20.00 gift card for Barnes and Noble and two free memberships to next year's Loscon. Come early, and don't let any clots in the hallways make you forget how to help those in need.
