Greetings from the Party Maven.
There are sure to be many parties at this year's LosCon. At the convention keep an eye on the daily newszine as well as asking at the Station Visitor's Bureau kiosk for a Party List. See below for a partial list of the groups which will be having parties at this year's Planet LosCon.

As usual, agreements with the hotel mean that you must be on a party floor if you wish to throw a party. The Convention has reserved two party floors. I have been told that there will only be two party floors. There are thus only 22 available suites for parties. This means that if you wish to have a party you must reserve a room and send me the room reservation as soon as possible to ensure a suite. I will need the hotel reservation #; the type of room reserved; the name the room is reserved under; any theme, convention, or group the party is for; and the day or days the party or parties will be thrown. Whatever type of room you wish, though, the deadline for reserving a party room is November 1st.
There are 12 double (2-bed) suites and ten (1-bed) king suites. There are also 18 sets of adjoining rooms in various configurations (king-king; king-double; double-double), with one king-double being handicapped-accessible in both rooms and one set in only the king room. There are no three-room sets of conjoined rooms on the party floors. Both floors are non-smoking. We will do our best to arrange for accommodations for participants with special circumstances.
The deadline the reserving a party room is November 1st, but the sooner you reserve a room the sooner we will be able to get your room number(s) to you. The earliest 'reservees' will have some choice in requesting their room's location. Please be aware that due to the limited number of suites, we cannot release suites on the party floor to be used as prep rooms, as there will likely be a waiting list for any suites that might become free unexpectedly.
See the Visitor's Guide Page for information regarding Local Shopping Facilities and other party helps.
Please let me know if you have any questions. --- Janis Olson, Party Maven
