- After Convention Notes
- Thanks to everyone for making the convention quite a success. I've bugged the convention chair into providing an after-statement which is posted front and center on the entry port page. On-line copies of the newszines are also now available with the links provided below.

- Welcome to the Convention
- So now the convention has started and touchdown upon Planet LosCon has been achieved, with minimal difficulties. As of the Thursday night before the convention at least 74 warm bodies were on site. Most were helping set up the convention space for a great time here at Planet LosCon. The first issue of the convention newszine, the "Planet LosCon Station Airy" will soon be available here. Be sure to read the newszine at the convention to keep up-to-date on all the news, program updates, party announcements, etc.
- New Saturday Afternoon Guests
- We are pleased to announce that Nichelle Nichols (Uhura on the original Star Trek) has confirmed that she will be joining us on Saturday afternoon of the convention. She is promoting her new book Saturna's Quest and will be signing autographs. For more information about her new book, visit her website at www.uhura.com. Ray Bradbury is tentatively also showing up at the convention on Saturday afternoon, with the usual caveats of the possibilities of other things interfering.
- Preliminary Program Schedule
- The Preliminary Convention Panel Programming Schedule has now been posted as a spreadsheet with the list of panels provided on the Programming Page. Start planning your convention schedule now!
- Progress Reports
- All three Progress Reports are now available for viewing on-line as pdf files. Links are available from the home entry port page or by clicking on the following links: Progress Report #1, Progress Report #2, Progress Report #3.
- Convention Policies Page
- Please visit and read the recently posted Convention Policies Page which contains the basic Station Rules and Regulations. This is important information that every convention attendee should be aware of.
- Parking Advisory
- Be advised that Avon and Empire directly behind the hotel have recently been designated "NO PARKING" zones. Keep this in mind when planning your parking around the hotel. Parking along Ontario is still available but remains marked "No Parking on Thursday" for the West Side and "No Parking on Friday" for the East Side. There remains some parking areas along Empire near and East of the Ontario stop sign intersection.
- Member's List
- The Member's List as of November 10th is now posted on the Membership Page. Check to see if you're listed! (Remember, if you checked the "do not list" box on the registration form you will not be on this list. If you are listed and wish to be removed from the on-line list, please e-mail the Webmaster now!) Our current membership total is 547.
- Special Saturday Night Appearance - M.O.U.S.
- On Saturday Night following the Masquerade we are privileged to have a special appearance of the Ministry of Unknown Science. Visit their website, view the article in the LA Times Magazine and the LA Weekly, and then come and watch their performance to see what all the hoopla is about.
- Attention
- Both the Dealer's Room, Art Show, and Fan Tables are now Full, with waiting lists for all. The Artists, Dealers, and Fan Table Lists are updated and correct unless there are some no-shows. Meanwhile, there is still some room in the Artist's Concourse.

- VERIP Books is going out of business. Stop by the Jubilee Room (Fanzine Room) for 1/2 off new books!!!
