Lux Theater presents Lux After Dark
What's Lux Theater Up To Now?
In the year 2000, Lux Radio Theater presented "The Adventures of Luke Skywalker." In 2001, we brought you "Lux Schoolhouse Theater." In 2002, we are pleased to present "Lux After Dark."
Like a sparkling diamond in the velvet curtain of night, the notorious L'étoile Rouge nightclub orbits high above the Planet LosCon. Fashioned after the bohemian decadence of turn-of-the-century 1900's Paris, the club has been transformed into the most extravagant and decadent theater and nightclub for dozens of light-years around. It is a kingdom of night-time pleasures, where the rich and powerful come to play with the young and beautiful creatures of the underworld.
"Lux After Dark" is the story of the drama that unfolds both in front of and behind the curtain of L'étoile Rouge. It is a crossroads in the lives of the performers who bring the nightclub to life. Theirs is a story of love, hope, passion, betrayal, and triumph - and, of course, dancing girls.
Floorshow will immediately follow the Ice Cream Social in the Academy Ballroom.
Ministry of Unknown Science M.O.U.S.
We are privileged to have join us for a special Saturday Night Appearance the sketch comedy troupe The Ministry of Unknown Science, or M.O.U.S. for short. Stay around after the Masquerade on Saturday Night to participate in their latest experiment. Rumor has it that they will be attempting "to induce audience members to see hallucinogenic images of whomever they truly love most." This 9 PM show is dubbed "The Bakula Episode." M.O.U.S. has become a quick sensation in the LA area. They were recently featured in an article in the November 17, 2002 edition of the Los Angeles Times Magazine (see article) and in the Thanksgiving edition of the LA Weekly (see the on-line article already posted). Come experience what all this hoopla is about.
