Time-bound AnnouncementsReviews: Fannish Committee Reports:Miscellaneous

Milt Stevens came across a list online of all the films released in the US in 2013, 688 films.  You can have a film festival of films making less than $10K.  Iron Man III was the biggest grosser. After the first 20, you get in to some quite strange items released in 2013.

David Okamura had a stack of paper.  Apparently the Space Ship 2 had a successful test flight, the first supersonic flight making it through 71000 feet.  First commercial flight into space should take place later this year.

Now we have the Detroit auto show.

Last week at Consumer Electronic Show unveiled first driverless car.  Top speed, 12.5 MPH. But...8 passenger shuttle, $250K laser guided, offsite parking and taking people around campuses, amusement parks, etc. Might save 40% of cost of regular shuttle. Parking lot tram driver may be out of work.

Sundance: Saturday the 25th, Playstadium. More details on Facebook. We’ll focus on the community of video gaming. Gaming has progressed, and it’s time LASFS took a look. This will be a dues-paying event.

Tom Safer moved to adjourn.

And so we adjourned to the program.  9:29 PM.
